Introduction
Sailor Hat with ESP32 (SH-ESP32) is a powerful microcontroller development board for the marine environment.
SH-ESP32 comes in two variants: SH-ESP32 with an ESP32-WROOM-32 microcontroller module that has an integrated PCB antenna, and SH-ESP32-ufl with an ESP32-WROOM-32U module that has a U.FL connector for an external 2.4 GHz antenna.

Conformity of SH-ESP32
SH-ESP32 is certified by the manufacturer for compliance with the relevant EU legislation and is suited for end user applications.

Conformity of SH-ESP32-ufl
SH-ESP32-ufl, while otherwise identical to SH-ESP32, allows the user to replace the WiFi antenna. Since the manufacturer has no control on the antenna used, the device cannot be guaranteed to comply to the radio equipment maximum radiation power limits. Therefore, SH-ESP32-ufl is intended for use for development, demonstration or evaluation purposes only. It is not considered by Hat Labs Ltd to be finished end-product fit for general consumer use.
Persons handling the SH-ESP32-ufl must have electronics training and observe good engineering practice standards. As such the goods being provided are not intended to be complete in terms of required design-, marketing-, and/or manufacturing related protective considerations, including product safety measures typically found in the products that incorporate such semiconductor components or circuit boards. The SH-ESP32-ufl does not fall within the scope of the European Union directives regarding electromagnetic compatibility, FCC, CE or UL and therefore may not meet the technical requirements of these directives or other related documents.
